The series Henry Danger is a family-friendly show for children and adults alike. It's the story of 12 year old Henry Hart (Jace Norman) who has always wanted to be a comic book hero; but real life doesn't work out like comic books, and now he has to make do as a fry cook at his parents diner. But now, with the help of his 10 year old sister Emmy (Haley Ramm), and his best friend James (Jackson Millarker) he gets to fly around in the coolest superhero costume ever, fighting crime with hilarious banter between episodes. He is not the only person who knows his secret however. There's also Jasper (Sean Ryan Fox) who works alongside him at the diner, his arch nemesis Captain Man (Greg Finley), his best friend Piper (Taylor Russell), and even his mom Charlotte (Dee Bradley Baker). Henry has to deal with all these people knowing his secret, while still trying to be a regular kid."Henydanger" is an anthology series that has one major plot arc within it, but can be divided into several mini arcs. These arcs are generally divided by different villains appearing in the show. The main villains are Captain Man, Kid Danger, and Eruptor.(*) - These episodes are one-hour long. The series is produced by Brown Bag Films' David A. Goodman, who was the head writer on "Family Guy", along with writing partner Robert Carlock ("30 Rock") for Disney XD's live-action programming. It was created by Dan Schneider for Nickelodeon, who also produced the Nick shows "iCarly" starring Miranda Cosgrove and "Victorious" starring Victoria Justice. The pilot episode aired August 9, 2014. The first season consisted of 26 episodes which ran from September 6, 2014 to February 20, 2015. The show was renewed for a second season on May 7, 2015. On June 21, 2016, the series was renewed for a third season. According to Goodman, "Henry Danger" is a spiritual successor to his series "Johnny Test". The show has been met with mostly positive reception from critics. In a review from Common Sense Media who gave the show four out of five stars praised the show for being entertaining and funny while being appropriate enough to air on Nickelodeon. The site said that parents need to know that it's a comedy that some parents might find too silly or gross for their tastes. They also added that "the series tackles some slapstick-style physical comedy and everyday family problems -- like a sibling rivalry with trust issues, the challenges of sharing a bathroom, and making new friends in school." The show has been nominated for several Kids' Choice Awards including "Favorite TV Show", "Favorite Actor", and "Favorite Actress" for Jace Norman, Sean Ryan Fox, and Taylor Russell respectively. The theme song of Henry Danger is performed by American boy band Big Time Rush. A music video of them performing the theme song was released on their official YouTube channel on September 20, 2014.
